GM contacting about player status?

I was just curious about something. I had a gm contact me today in-game telling me the status of a player I reported. I was just wondering if that was an issue or if anyone else have had a similar experience. Please let me know if that's okay.

We do appreciate your concern, Akugi. Really nothing to worry about here. I believe this Game Master just wanted you to be reassured that your issue was reviewed and appropriate steps were taken. Indeed, that is the most common wording used in connection to a report of this kind.
