At the beginning of my wow career, I was linked with my friend who recruited. All the linked account functions were working, and such. And it said i needed to wait for my first full month of payment to get my mount. So its been about 3 months, i check back in and it says im no longer linked. And also there is no reward give to me. What is happening?

Just to clarify, the veteran account is the only one to receive the X-53 Touring Rocket. So, if your friend recruited you, then they'd be the one to receive the mount—not you. The benefits for the recruited player is that they get an upper hand as they start out in the game, and then they receive the free month of game time when upgrading to the standard version of World of Warcraft, as do all new players.
Based on what I can see, RAF expired on 9/14/2010 and your friend was able to claim the mount on 10/22/2010.

The promotion is only good for 90 days.
