Most efective way to split account?

I promised my son ( will be 10 years old this month), his own account and laptop, if he had great grades all the way to xmas. Lowest he had was B+ and is full of A and A+. :)

So I have to keep my promise.

I currently have 4 and soon to be 6 level 80 toons. Some are his, on my account.
I wanted to create an account for Him, but in order to be able to transfer toons, the account needs to be in my name.

Here are the questions.

Can I refer myself as a friend? So we can benefit from the triple xp and I get the cool rocket.

What is the easiest way to get all the expansions?
I have the discs for vanilla, BC and LK. Should I just install this and them buy the CD keys, or is there a full install available, instead of having to patch everything for hours. Or should I just go and buy all new disks.
I also want to get Catlysm for both.

Please help a confused player

Thank you

As others have mentioned, Pinkladybug, you are more than welcome to create another account for your son and use RAF.

Account Creation:
Step 1: Create a new email address for the new account. (correct!)
Step 2: Log in with the old account and generate a RAF invitation. (correct!)
Step 3: Create a new account using the same f/l name.
Step 4: Go back to the new e-mail and click on the RAF invite
