Launcher isnt coming up?

Dear Blizzard: The new pretty cataclysm launcher isn't bursting onto my screen today like it usually does, it kinda just lags around for a minute or two, then shoots up a message about how it was unable to retrieve information regarding the next patch. So i did what any smart player would do, and checked my connection, (Which it stated me to do) so i disconnected my internet and reconnected it from my computer, i even ran and reset my internet modem, but to no avail. I've only actually gotten the launcher to appear once, but the same message came up and bye bye went the launcher. Anyone else experiencing this? Or know how i could fix it?
