As I'm sure everyone is aware, the new forum preview has been up for a while and since then we've discovered that there are no plans to add an OT forum to this new forum. Which means that as soon as these forums are closed and everyone moves to these new ones there will no longer be anywhere for us to go to discuss OT topics. I'm not here to complain about the change despite being extremely disappointed, I'm here to complain about how this is being handled.
It's come to my attention that anyone who even questions this change is being banned, some even being permanently banned. While I will not give names, at least one of these players has been an extremely constructive and helpful poster who up until this fiasco has NEVER received any sort of punishment from Blizzard. I think it's safe to say that a large majority of those that oppose removing the OT have conducted themselves in a professional (for lack of a better word) manner and are simply trying to get their voices heard. How is this ban-worthy?
I could understand these actions had Blizzard at least provided us with one thread to discuss this change but I'm sure if we even asked for one the poster would be banned. From my point of view it's "You'll put up with this change and you'll like it, or else you can't post anymore". That is very insulting as a customer and scaring your customers from providing feedback by threatening them with bans is absolutely ridiculous.
I apologise if I have broken any rules in the post such as discussing bans on the forum and please note it is not my intention to cause trouble, the OT forum would just like some answers.
