Wintergrasp hackers

I know this has been posted to death, but when is blizzard ever going to do something about the blatant hacking in wg? people walking through mid air, mining from under the map or mining invisible. they use bots and mine all day and night then the crap goes straight to the ah so they can sell gold.

so it's against the terms of service to hack/exploit the game, and its against the terms of service to buy/sell gold, yet you do NOTHING about it. why have the rule at all if you arent going to enforce it?

I have reported MULTIPLE hackers in wg this week and they are all still in wintergrasp all hours of the day and night, the gm's obviously don't care.

twelve million players and you can't bring yourself to ban a few hackers accounts? would you rather the legitimate players just decide to stop paying on there accounts because blizzard has decided to allow this behavior?

a little feedback from someone over there would be nice.

The issue at hand is not that we do nothing about them, Risperidone, but that there are quite a few of them out there. Sometimes only taking out one or two doesn't solve the ultimate issue at hand.

We combat this in a lot of different ways. Sometimes it's game fixes that breaks some of these exploits (or sometimes bots). Sometimes it is waves of suspensions or bans. And then there's our biggest endeavor - fighting compromised accounts.

Many of the players you see doing the whole under-ground mining thing, or selling gold, or floating in the air are the results of compromised accounts. It is a constant battle, one we are always working at and coming up with new ways to throw a wrench in their works. Most of these fixes are not very public - were they to be public, it would only give those we're fighting a clue as to how to work around them more quickly. But let me say - some of our latest stuff? So very cool, and I dearly wish I could share them with those of you that raise these concerns.

Gold selling, unfortunately, is a very large industry that has some limitations on how we are best able to combat it. We are doing our best, and it is one of our topmost priorities. What we can ask of you is to not participate in these violations and to report them to us whenever possible. Each report helps us quite a bit.

You might find some insight in our article on Gold Buying/Selling. It's a pretty interesting read.
