Infinite queue time for battlegrounds

I had a Bloodelf rogue that I was PVPing with in the 10-19 brackets. My queue time was between 5 to 10 minutes. I decided to switch factions and paid $30 to switch him to a human (still on same server).

Ever since the switch, I have not been able to get into battleground. My queue time is infinite. Currently I'm staring at my screen and it says average wait time 12 minutes. Time in queue 1 HR and 19 minutes!!

Could the faction change be the problem? Only reason I have this toon is to PVP with. Any help? I tried queuing different times of the day. Same results. Just infinite wait time.

Before switch: DualWrath, Bloodelf, rogue, 19
After switch: Bournetokill, Human, rogue, 19
Server: Skywall

As a 19, I'll take a leap here and make a presumption you are xp stopped.

Were you before the faction change?

XP stop players get grouped with those that are also xp stopped and if there aren't enough in queue, there will simply be no matches.
