Hacked with Authenticator

I noticed someone else this morning also had this problem on the forums and was, in fact, hacked.

I tried to log in this morning and got the message that unusual activity had been detected and the account was locked.

I have changed my email and battlenet passwords and am running scans, but I haven't downloaded anything recently other than the xpac from Blizz, and haven't clicked any links. I have a fully up to date virus scanner.

I am now running security scans, but need to know if there is a problem. This character and server.

I do not show any indication of a malicious party actually accessing the account, Haramis, but there was a reason as to why you received the message this morning. Unfortunately, I cannot see where the account was attempted to be logged in from.

I read this article a while ago. You may want to read it and check for the virus that is described.

This describes the “Man-in-the-Middle” Trojan which we commented on here:

This Trojan tends to rear its ugly head every once in awhile so it is good to be aware.
