Account Locked

My battle.net/wow account was compromised today. Went through the recovery process and now I have access to battle.net but not to wow.

It says in the summary that my account status is locked. I received several email notifying me that my gear had been restored and that I must go and fill in a form to have my account unlocked, I did all that but I haven't got any sort of indication as to what is exactly happening on blizzard's end.

Can I get some assistance?

To up my security I added an authenticator. But that's probably not relevant.

Back to the issue at hand, my account is locked and I'd like to have it unlocked.

Unfortunately the account cannot be unlocked via forums, Caryane.

Based on what I can see, your request has been received. Once our account services is able to review your account issue, you will be notified via e-mail.

For now hang tight and use this time to secure your computer. I have a few suggestions below.

  • Computer security, should be a top priority. If your computer is infected with a keylogger, your account information can get out regardless of how creative your password is. Run multiple virus scans and remember that there isn't a single anti virus program that will catch every single virus out there.

  • After securing your computer, change the password associated to your battle.net account and personal e-mail account. Make sure your battle.net password is completely different than your e-mail password.
