Is there any chance we can get someone over to windrunner to stop the 3 bots farming ore in wintergrasp?

Please don't call out for blue posters in threads, Rettypally. We address threads as quickly as we are able to, but we are not always able to respond to each one.

In addition, the forums are not a means to bypass our in-game petition system. If you are witnessing bots, then they must be reported via the appropriate means: in-game petition or e-mail at [email protected]. Those of us who post here are not Game Masters and our purpose is to advise on topics and moderate these forums.

Bots are a very interesting beast to discuss. In the cases of bots, we try to attack the situation at its deepest root. That is, we tend to take time to observe them so we can break their botting at a greater level rather than just remove them right away. Sort of like taking out the leader of a gang instead of just arresting a single individual.

It can be an inconvenience, and I understand that frustration, but it is something we take seriously and have some pretty in depth policies for investigating and ultimately resolving. I do wish there were times that I could make those things more public, but unfortunately, doing so would only aid those who would abuse that information.

Thanks for your concern and your pro-activity in helping us fight these sorts of violations!

Q u o t e:
bliz hasnt ever done anything to stop the bots. They really just slap a ban-aid on the issue. They have done mass bans sure. But to what extent? the bots are back the very same day. I think it really boils down to account security. I really doubt these are paid accounts by the people running the bot.

We agree, Rettypally. And we've put forth a lot of effort in providing numerous ways to protect your account, as well as other security measures (including our authenticators, for example) that prevent those who would compromise your account from ever even being able to log in. However, just as we evolve, so do they. It's an ongoing battle, and one we are not about to give up, either. >^.~<

If the in queue icon is bothering you, you may also submit such reports via e-mail at [email protected], so you won't have to worry about it blocking your buffs. Such petitions via e-mail go into the same queue and addressed in the same manner. >^.^<

Both I and several others have provided what we could here, Rettypally, and while all I ask is for your trust, I understand if that is not something you wish to lend. I believe this thread has run its course.
