Faction Change question

I have an old school ride (Palomino Bridle) and was contemplating changing factions to join some friends. If I were to change to Blood elf Rogue, it says I'd get a random discontinued epic mount from that faction.

I tried this on the cata beta some, when they allowed faction change, and every time it would end up being the green kodo, or when switching back to alliance (worgen, who would be in the same rule of providing a random discontinued epic mount) it would always be a blue mechanostrider. I tried this with several copies and it was the same case, every time.

Does anyone know if this is this case on live servers? I don't want to switch to a BE rogue and end up with a green kodo as a 100% chance :(

The mount is selected randomly and it is not 100% guaranteed that you will get the green kodo.

Additionally, from our faction change page:

** Some races have three varieties of the normal-speed mounts (require 75 riding skill), while others have four. During a faction change, you may receive a random normal-speed mount of a race in your new faction to accommodate this disparity.
