Lokidruid, please don't incite flaming or deconstructive discussion in these forums. That is not their purpose, and we do not condone that sort of discussion here. If you have
constructive criticism of any of our policies or procedures, or you have thoughts on how to improve our processes, we'd like to hear it in our Suggestions Forum, where our developers and policy makers can review it.
While I am not involved in these processes myself, allow me to say that sometimes what may seem to be the simplest solution is not the best for the situation, or could cause worse problems in the long run. Much in the way that we address bugs or glitches in-game, we spend a lot of time on investigating, fighting, and creating new security features to combat compromised accounts. A system where the user has the capability to unlock their own account if they are not compromised rather than one that locks them outright and requires them to directly contact us for similar behavior seems to be the better choice in this case.
Q u o t e:
your server security was compromised itself.
This unfounded and wild claim comes up a lot. If this happened, we are required to inform all of our players of such a situation. Rest assured that this situation you claim is not the case.
