The intro quest was great, the videos of the raids I've seen look amazing, the entire area reeks of epicness. How many months of work did it take you to do that?

Now to my question. You spent so much time working on all of these quests and the new raid, why wasn't any time spent on the PvP side of the game?

-You spent so much time revamping all of the 1-60 content, yet you spent no time balancing low level PvP.

-Every patch has seen some kind of monster for PvP. Feral druids at release, warriors getting a 10% damage buff right when we could obtain 2.2k weapons in 4.0.6, Frost DKs in 4.1, and resto shamans (already being the best healer in the game) getting spirit link totem just to top it off.

-Not only did we see ZERO new arenas this expansion, but we actually lost an arena (ring of valor). Not only did we lose ring of valor, but it was unavailable for the entire season. You spent so much time working on firelands, yet this little arena box took 6 months to fix?

-Now we have constant cheating in arena via MMR abuse and win trading. The european servers are a mess right now. 2900 rating is considered DUELIST??!?!? That's absurd Blizzard. The 2 top teams on the Russian realms are 3600 rated via MMR abuse. To solve this, all that has been done is hiding MMR. All this does is make it harder to report teams for abuse.

I'm sorry if I sound frustrated but it's because I am. PvP is what I enjoy, and I feel like it has taken such a back seat to everything else in this game.

The answer to your question revolves around a common difference in how PvE players and PvP players approach the game. Generally speaking, PvE players want more quests, more dungeons and more raids to experience -- more and new content is king. On the other hand, while some PvP players do want new maps, many others would be happier if we perfected the Arena or BG maps that already exist - or even if we cut existing maps. After all, PvP players don’t graduate out of Arathi Basin or Dalaran Sewers the same way PvE players graduate from dungeon to heroic, or raid tier to raid tier. We did make some improvements to the existing PvP maps, such as trying to return Ring of Valor to circulation and changing the way flags work in Eye of the Storm (for rated play).

We’d love to add a lot more maps than we currently do, but we need to do it in such a way that doesn’t make the PvP experience worse for players who are more interested in refining their PvP experience than in seeing new maps.
