Do you have to finish the zone? I was out there on my warrior killing all the flagged Horde, and thought I might go ahead and do the dailies, but since I haven't done any quests out there I was unable to pick them up.

How far do you have to go to do the quests?

It's some good gold and guild rep (if you need it), and the quests are pretty fun. In any case, it's required because of the way the story in the zone progresses, so it's pretty unlikely it's something we'll change.
