Account email change request, hack attempt

my account was hacked awhile back, lost everything, but Blizz had everything restored to my accounts in a timely manner, thank you!

after it happened, i did all the usual checks, cleaned my PCs, changed the email associated with the account and added a authenticator. today i recieved this email.

Hello,

Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username *******@yahoo.com. The e-mail address k***@hotmail.com has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.

Once the new address has been verified, the e-mail address ********@yahoo.com can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.

that was the email attached to my account when it got hacked the first time. i have sinced changed it to another. should i be worried? is this just the same person trying again with my old email? im to paranoid to even click on the link...

That's almost guaranteed to be a phish.

The way to tell without a doubt is to pop open the internal routing headers and check the true sender. Never EVER trust the FROM in an email to be correct.

You could paste the header here, just make sure to edit out your own email address.
