I think my account might be getting hacked!

My friend who is online right now told me that my name signed on, messaged him, saying his name and everything and then sighed off after saying they were tired. I checked to see if any names were added to my account, and I didn't see any.

What should I do about this? I'm freaking out because I do not want my account being hacked. I got hacked once before like early this year and have been fine ever since.

So Blizzard, if there's any activity happening on my account that is against anything, It is not me at all. I would never do anything to get my account closed.

I'm about to buy the Authenticator to make sure my account is safe after this for sure. I hate this. I don't like having stuff like this happen to anyone. I would hate to have my account be closed for good for something I didn't do, I love playing. :(

I don't get why someone would get on my name and start talking to someone instead of taking gold, gear ect, and then sign off after that, saying they were tired.

On this account, Sam?

This sounds more like a case of an acquaintance knowing - or finding out, your information. An authenticator is an excellent choice, however - should help to keep others out and provide peace of mind :)

Also, I followed the link above and did what it said, and now just to let Blizzard know, I bought an authenticator, though I don't have it now, it's being sent to me, and in the process recovery, I would hate to have that canceled, and having to re-buy it.

So if it's possible to let whoever know about that so they don't cancel the authenticator item.

I don't believe a store order would be canceled due to this. Transfers or paid services might, but I've never heard of an authenticator order being canceled due to a compromise report. Billing could tell you more on that if you'd like to inquire further, they are over the store.
