Issues with 4.0.1, and GM closed ticket..

Hi, I've had a ticket in for two days now that a GM switched over to "will be responded to soon.." and then it was closed with a survey option. I received an e-mail with instructions on how to do what I'd already said I'd done in the ticket body.

I'm going to paste my notes for issues I wanted to discuss with the GM, and I would love a response.

I have been having issues with professions where, upon logging out, I am unable to click herbs or mining nodes as they "Require mining/herbalism" yet I have Mining Skill 162 and Herbalism ~130s, and my 'K' -> Profession Skills screen correctly lists them. When I go to a trainer, they list my professions as already learned and untrainable.

I've already completely removed my WTF, Interface, and Cache folders. I have literally installed from scratch, a completely fresh WoW install as of two days ago. I am on XP and I've followed all purging instructions to the letter (I don't have anything in appdata, etc)

Earlier today I went to the trainer for Herbalism while having this issue, and it listed Herbalism beginner and journeyman, both the 7 copper priced primary skill that unlocks to 75 and the one that unlocks to 150, as available for training, but the "Train" button was greyed out for the lower level herbalism. Before that (and I'm certain my skills were modified while logged out, my skill was only 26 and I was unable to learn the herbalism nor buy the next level). This seemed to be resolved not after logging in and, clearing cache, etc. but going to a different continent?

Profession issue: unlearning various bar smelting "spells", unable to mine iron ore despite I had iron ore from mining it earlier ("Requires mining" when my 'K'->Professions Skill screen says mining 162).

So.. What's with the professions? Are all of them broken, or just those learned/begun after the patch?

Jewelcrafting pattern: [Design: Accurate Twilight Opal] does not appear to be vendor-priced correctly. (4s instead of 4g)

"Crashing on Interactives" - http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27387360848&sid=1
The cog wheel disconnect issue (mage tables, warlock portals, any interactable object) is very frustrating. I or 2-3 members of my party are regularly getting disconnected from Headless Horsemen. Will there be any continuation of this holiday event assuming this issue is resolved any time soon?

I'm currently capped at 4000 Justice Points, but not received honor or gold. Is this only after 4.0.3 or is this an issue with my character?

I have seen many posts in the Suggestions forum regarding heirloom item prices. I literally just hit 80 about two weeks ago on this character, the first on this server, and I was looking forward to buying heirloom. Am I correct that it's not been Blizzard's policy to NOT refund epic mount, dual talent spec costs, etc? This is why I am hesitant to purchase these items..

Wintergrasp has been demounting me from my flying mount, -between- battles (with an hour+ remaining until the next battle). During these instances, I am not given a parachute.

Things seem very tentatively.. broken. Is there any way to pause/turn off my account, preserving the remaining time until future patches resolve these issues? (This would have been nice to know a few weeks ago, as my account does only have a few days remaining now.)

My water effects are completely broken at Liquid Detail: Good and Ultra settins. I have an ATI Radeon 4800 with Catalyst 10.9 drivers using Windows XP (so DX9). I'm concerned that this thread has no mention of Liquid Detail, and that this issue may not be known? http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27187856635&sid=1

Is there a reason why 4.0.1's patch notes were particularly sparse? There was no explanation of flexible raid directly, and had to be found via other means ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27189089680&sid=1 ) there was no mention of dual-spec cost changes, winter flying, etc in the patch notes.

I have filed a few tickets in the past month, and your service always appears to be "experiencing a high volume", yet I see very few listings of game masters, or even junior software engineers to perform general quality assurance work listed on your career site at http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/careers/directory.html#region=Americas - is this a trend we can expect from Blizzard for the foreseeable future?

In general I'm very dissatisfied with the state of the game, which seems to be a combination of client and server database issues. I have a terrible feeling these issues won't be resolved until 4.0.3 when Cata launches in two months.

Any response at all (beyond instructions to what I've already done) would be welcome.

Duhbear,

The vast majority of your post is not something we can directly assist with.

If you think something is 'bugged', a very specific post in our bug forum would be appreciated. This would be things like sell prices, stats on trinkets, etc.

Tech would be the folks to contact with any type of hardware, performance or driver issues.

Now, professions is a known issue. I did ask one thing be done for your account - and I'd ask you check them again on your next login. It may not have worked, it doesn't always, but I did ask this be refreshed just in case yours is one of the cases it will help.

If it hasn't, this is on the 'list' and we are hopeful for a more permanent solution soon.

My pleasure, Duhbear.

Just another footnote on professions. Some that are trained in the old world - for some players, seem to be having this issue.

IF you don't have a great deal of skill in a gathering skill yet and are experiencing this, abandoning that skill and training it in Shattrath also seems to be resolving this for many players. It's not a guarantee, but may be worth checking into as it does seem to usually work out.
