This character, Unavailabull (Yes, I realize the irony), broke pretty severely after hitting 80 yesterday. Upon hitting 80, I trained my new skills and swapped specs. After swapping specs, I attempted to take a portal from Orgrimmar to Dalaran, but was unable to do so. That's when I noticed the following issues.
List of issues:
I am unable to take any action. This includes casting spells, interacting with portals and other cogwheels, teleporting, taking dungeon queues and summons. This does not include moving around, vendoring, purchasing items at the auction house, queueing for instances, equipping/unequipping gear, and taking fall damage.
I cannot see my friends list or respond to tells. Sometimes upon logging on, I cannot see my friends list, other times everyone appears offline (even though I know them to be online). I don't receive tells from them. Sometimes I am not even logged into the chat client.
I can never fully log out. To everyone else it shows that I log out, however, I am still able to run around and see people take actions in real time. However, I cannot chat with anyone and I show as offline.
I have no instance queue cooldown and I get instant pops. My ability to queue for instances is severely broken. I tested it three times in a row. The first time I queue as dps and got instantly accepted into an instance, but was not ported there. I could not click to teleport there. After leaving the group (since I couldn't join them in the instance), I immediately requeue'd again. Once again, I got an instance pop for another group, but no teleport. I dropped and tried it a third time. Same result. After this, I gave up trying to use dungeon queues to port myself/unbreak my character.
After about an hour and many attempts to unbreak myself through logging in and logging out on multiple computers, deleting cache/wtf, trying to kill my character, eventually the game disconnected me. I have been unable to log back onto Unavailabull since. I select the character, hit log in, get a full loading bar, wait about 15 seconds, and then get dc'd. I've tried this on several computers to no avail.
Every other character is working fine. I have no experienced these issues on anyone else. The issues were the same no matter my settings or the computers I used. Reinstalling, clearing folders, and attempts to repair files had no effect on the issue. He was running no addons.
Anyone else having a similar issue and maybe have a solution or suggestion?
SOLUTIONS THAT I HAVE TRIED:
Renaming, deleting, or editing cache and wtf.
Repairing/reinstalling.
Using different computers or internet connections.
Editing config files.
Disabling cogwheel interactions.
Opening a petition (7 day wait time... oh joy.)
Calling tech support (Can't even get in a queue on the phone.)
