Recruit-A-Friend Broken

Recently my wife bought WoW and we did recruit a friend.

We get into the game and made fresh toons on a new server and we have non of the recruit a friend benefits. No bonus xp or the ability to summon each other.

This is a huge issue for us because we were really looking forward to all of that and that was a big reason for her to start playing. I called the phone support and after waiting for 40min they tell me I have to talk to a GM about fixing this and nothing they could do on their side.

So it has been a few days and still no resolution. Would really appreciate some kind of help.

Billing actually did quite a bit - they relinked to the account that was actually upgraded. From what I can see, this really should be working. The re-link was done on 10/20/2010. Sometimes these are a bit resistant to update, I've asked both accounts be manually refreshed on our side - sometimes that can help.

You might try relogging all the way to desktop on both accounts and seeing if summoning, etc., is working now. If that doesn't seem to have helped, this may need to be looked into further, although weekly maintenance sometimes joggles them into place as well :)
