Quick BG question in here...

There's a guild I know of currently playing mechanics to their advantage. What happens is every time one character in the guild (It's like 20-30 people in the guild, accounts running 24/7). What they're using is KeyClone software or something close so that if anyone presses any button then every character whos attached to the addon or KeyClone software then:

Ques for a BG.
Runs the command for entering the BG.
Casts a long cooldown spell (Ice Block, Blessing of Protection, Hymn of Hope, Recklessness, etc) so that they don't go AFK in the BG.

And they say this is allowed because it's not automated, its multiboxing. Theres over a dozen people leveling alts just by joining this Guild at level 10 and hooking themselves up and then coming back days later or only logging into that character intermittently and playing their main most of the time. But it's not botting, its multiboxing. Is it?

They cast spells in the BG they're in, its all just sporadic spells because they always have 2-3 people playing normally and they send KeyClone commands (or something) to 20 characters constantly so that those 20 people could essentially keep those 20 people not afk and continually queing for BGs.

They cannot do that with accounts they aren't logged into.

If they ARE logged into someone else's account - that's as bad, that would be account sharing.

But I thought you just linked threads with Blizzard employees saying its to have one character control multiple ones?

Multi-boxing IS fine, but they all have to be that person's accounts.

But I remember also that there was a Blue saying that functions like that being controlled were allowed as long as the other player installed/knew about the addons existance.

Or is it just black and white if something you do (mechanically) causes another player to do something and that player isn't owned by you its not allowed?

I know of no way to control another player's character remotely without being logged into that account - which is forbidden as that is account sharing.
