Mount removed due to seller's compromised acc

I had purchased a Crimson Deathcharger mount off the auction house a while back for 65k.
I get an email today saying the person's account I had bought it from was compromised and my mount was removed.
This is completely unfair.
This persons account was not compromised at the time that I bought the mount. He had been trying to sell it for weeks prior to me buying it and I was tracking it on the AH and through him.
I can't give an exact date but I bought it a very significant time ago.
If his account was compromised now why did they go that far back and cancel the sale? It had nothing to do with the situation at all.
I don't believe anyone would wait the weeks before the sale plus the months since to report their account as compromised. Plus the guy was simply not compromised at the time I bought it. I know this for a fact.

Either the GM was going way too far back to restore this person and being lazy with fact checking or this guy is lying to get his mount back to keep or sell for more. I don't know which it is and I was not given an explanation at all other than some pre-written email. Either way I got screwed.

They did give me the gold back but the issue I have is not the gold. It is that it will be hard for me to find another seller for the same price. I had waited for this guy to try and sell and let his price come down to get a good deal on it and that is going to be hard to find again.

How is this at all fair when I did absolutely nothing wrong? It all seems pretty shady to me.

Then open an in-game ticket and ask that it be further reviewed due to the amount of time involved.

In this case, I'd actually suggest contacting Account Administration, as this is somewhat of an account action issue. They would be best to re-investigate for possible overturn of the situation at hand.

You may contact Account Administration via e-mail at [email protected].
