Account Hacked; need blue help

So I am a bit upset with some account issues recently doesn't make much sense to me.

I recently purchased starcraft 2 a couple of weeks ago, I play WoW and SC2 on and off when my time permits.

My password is very secure and I a firewall + AV on my computer. I also update my password often.

So today I go to login to SC2 and I get a message that says....

"Our login system has detected a change in your login pattern, unable to access your account a message has been sent to the registered email... blah blah"

First this upsets me cause the only change is I merged accounts together as forced to do when I activated SC2 2 weeks ago. Next this actually makes no sense since I login, whenever I can play from the same IP non stop.

So is it expected that in almost 6 years of playing that I randomly start getting stuff like this? Is this going to be considered the normal? Can I expect to receive messages like this that make me jump through hoops to get access to my account back? Is there a set routine that blizzard expects me to play within a controlled play time to prevent these problems? How did I trigger these events other then doing exactly what Blizzard expected me to do, activate my games to my battle.net account. Is this triggering some red flag with your own battle.net site?

The message is indeed legitimate, Jasminè. :)

The reason you received the message, Lyeatin, is because it appears as though the Battle.net account may have been accessed from a malicious location. This messaging is simply to protect the safety of the account and alert the account holder of a potential situation.
