I submitted the following ticket in-game over 24 hours ago, and have not received a response or anything indicating my ticket has been escalated, so I thought i'd try here.

This is a followup to my last ticket (code either FOFOFO or F0F0F0, not sure), in which I reported that although I have the Alchemy and Herbalism skills in my spellbook, there is no button to craft potions and any attempt to pick an herb gives the error "Requires Herbalism" with no number.

As suggested, I've tried deleting the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders, and also tried "/console reloadui", neither of which has resolved the problem. Any other ideas?

PS: what gives on the response time? Is there a way I could improve this, by providing more information or something else?

Yeah, I just saw that -- holy crap. I also just saw that it's a known issue with the patch, so I'll get myself out of Blizzard's hair on this one.

It'd be nice if it'd gotten mentioned in the response to the first ticket, though, or if the same content in the forum post on 4.0.1 issues was available in game (I can browse the internet, or play WoW, but not both at once.)

It may take awhile for your petition to be answered, Shrdlu - and for that you have my apologies.

There are a couple work-arounds you could try if you like, might be quicker IF they work. They don't for everyone but may be worth a try.

If you've not a lot invested into herbalism at this point, you could try abandoning the skill and going to Shattrath to learn it again. That works for most players.

Alchemy, the same if you don't have too much invested into it already. Although reset UI does seem to help many players on the crafting type skills. If that hasn't helped, this might.

Also, if /cast Alchemy works, that is another workaround until that can be further addressed.
