Tooltips

I am unable to see the tooltips for any pieces of gear besides rings, trinkets, and neck pieces. I turned off every single one of my addons, but the problem persisted. A friend of mine said that this issue was brought up and addressed sometime earlier, if so what was done about it, or what can I do?

The following commands should be what you are looking for, Marchais:

Turn Off Tooltips
    /script GameTooltip.Temphide = function() GameTooltip:Hide() end; GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Temphide);

Turn On Tooltips
    /script GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Show);
