How long should an email take?

My account was hacked mid to late November last year. I stopped playing and paying for WoW mid-November (I know I wasn't here for the Thanksgiving event, and ICC came out shortly after I stopped playing). I was busy with work after it got banned, so I never got around to changing my password or requesting the account back. Then afterwards, I didn't really have any urge to get it back. There wouldn't be anything for me to do ingame, that's why I stopped playing, cause I got bored and figured I'd go play another game for a bit.

Skip to about 2 weeks ago. I'm seeing more and more about Cataclysm, and I'm getting excited for it, so I decide I'll get my account back. So I email Blizzard, but apparently I emailed the wrong address. They reply, saying that "we were unable to provide the restoration you requested because we could not verify the loss of the item(s) you reported". That was on the 12th. I figure it's one phase of it and they'll email me with the rest of the info of recovering my account afterwards, but no such luck. So I look up how to recover a hacked and banned account, and send in a photocopy of the form and my license on the 22nd. I get an email back that same day saying "we have received your message. A response to your current message will be sent to you as soon as possible." and there hasn't been anything since.

So I'm just wondering if I should have gotten a reply by now, or if I'm being impatient? I know BlizzCon was this weekend, and I actually did think about how I couldn't have picked a worse time to send it in, but the sooner the better in my book.

Q u o t e:
Turns out, my account wasn't banned due to any gold seller, but were instead banned because after they got hacked, someone spent money on them, then disputed the charges, so now they're in a "negative balance".
If that's the case, Silenthammer, you may contact our billing and account services team to get this issues addressed. If they are able to verify that the charges were made during the time of the compromise, then the fees are waived and the account will be unlocked.
