just recently since the patch i have been dcing in random BG's. when ever i try to click a soul well or even just buff people i dc. this wouldnt be an issue and i would just log back in thinking its just another bug but when ever i dc and log back in it makes me leave the BG group, gives me the 15 min debuff, and then i have to wait another 50 mins for another BG just to possibly DC again. was wondering if this is a known issue at all? or maybe the cogweel glitch? =/ any help would be greatly apreciated.

It is the cogwheel issue, Pherox.

If you'll look in the Hallow's End sticky above - in the very first post, there is a workaround for that. It's been working well for most players. Not elegant - but it's a fairly reliable workaround until this can be resolved.

Anything with a 'cog' type tooltip can be at risk for causing this. Soulwells, mage tables, BG flags, the pumpkin event, etc.

yay epic panda. ill have to try that, but do you know anything that will not drop me out of a bg incase i do DC? or is it just intended to boot you like it does currently?

I think you are likely getting dropped because that issue is just disconnecting you, Pherox. Anytime you /afk or dc in a BG it is indeed intended you be dropped from the instance. Unfortunately, you'll also likely get the deserter debuff.

If it is the cogwheel issue, those macros should help. Now, that may not be all that's going on, but I'd give that a try first. Hopefully we'll have a more permanent resolution for that in soon.
