So, I made a new account to RAF with my friend on the 17th. As of the 20th, it has been closed for "Spamming and Advertising."

Here is the email:

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: In-Game Chat Policy Violation - Advertisement and Spamming

This account was closed because a character on the account repeatedly abused World of Warcraft's in-game chat system. This abuse includes advertising third party services/websites and repeatedly spamming in-game chat channels. Abuse of this nature pollutes chat channels shared by all players and harms the game environment as a whole.

As of the 20th, I have a level 5 warrior (never been out of the starting area) and a level 21 warlock (only been in org once, was only there for 10 mins.) I have never spammed any kind of channel or advertised anything.

The only things I have even said in Local Defense was:

SomeRandomGuy- Can Death Knights use shields?
Me- Yes
SomeOtherRandomGuy- (insert witty response to me)
Me- (some your mom joke that I can't even remember)

That is the extent of my chat outside of party.

So after I email Account Admin asking why I was banned, I get this response:

***IMPORTANT: In the course of our investigation, it has come to our attention that the email address used on this account has likely been compromised. The safest way to go about recovering your account is to create a brand new email address to use for Battle.net, and do not ever use it for anything else. If your email remains compromised and the situation is not addressed, it can make the recovery of your account more complicated and can lead to future compromises.***

Thank you for taking the time to contact Account Administration. It appears that your Battle.net account has been locked due to suspicious activity. You should be receiving an email shortly with instructions on how to unlock the account for play.

This was sent to me at 2:24 AM EST on 10/21/10.
It is now 5:39 PM EST on 10/21/10.

I have yet to receive any response.
I find it hard to believe that someone accessed my account when the password is still the same and nothing has changed with my level 21 warlock.

So short version:

Created account on 10/17/10
Account Banned/Closed on 10/20/10
Second email sent at 2:24 AM 10/21/10
No "follow-up" email as of 5:41 PM 10/21/10.

Thanks for wasting my $19.99......

Unlikely but very possible, Mandolphan.

Can you give me the name and realm of a character on the account in question?
