Problems with combat text

I'm having a problem with my combat text for my "Target's Floating Combat Text." I can't get it to turn off. On each character I have, each time I log out of a character then log back in, I have to go back into interface > Floating Combat Text and uncheck both Damage and Healing boxes to turn off these items. On each character. I have a combat text addon installed that I prefer to use over the game combat text one as the default one just puts numbers all over the place and makes it look confusing. But this is ridiculous!! It won't stay turned off!

Also I'm having trouble turning in some of the Hallow's End quests, mainly the one after you kill the Horseman in Brill, Razor Hill (Smash the Pumpkin!) or Putting out the Fires one. And after that I can't turn in any more quests until I relog.

In regards to floating text, Morgraine, the issue may be related to your operating system. Certain in game settings are saved in a configuration file and if the game does not have the proper privileges to save your settings, they will reset.

If you are using Windows Vista or WIndows 7 try the following step:

- Completely exit the game
- Right click your WoW icon and select "Run as administrator"
- Try turning off combat text
- Restart the game and make sure you use " Run as administrator" one last time

As for the quests, have you tried resetting your UI?

How to Reset Your UI

With the game closed please try moving or deleting your WTF, Cache, and Interface folders out of your World of Warcraft directory. These are temporary files that will be recreated by the game the next time you launch. Moving them to the desktop makes it easy to replace them if necessary.

If you see no changes, you may wish to submit an in game ticket and our game masters will be glad to further look into the issue.
