I made a thread a couple days ago stating that my buddy was quitting wow and he wanted to give me the rest of his gold as long as I gifted him the game time. I gifted the game time but apparently he no longer has wow installed and cannot access the account from his home. He told me to log onto the account myself and mail it, although i'm afraid to do this because it will seem like i'm hacking his account.
If I do this will this alert GM's? Or do I only have to worry about an actual ticket being made(Which obviously wouldn't happen) The amount of gold would be around 20k.

I am not entirely sure why you would gift him game time if his intensions were to stop playing the game, Allesana. O.o

However, if your friend no longer has the game installed on his computer he will still be able to log into the game from any computer that World of Warcraft is installed on. Keep in mind though that your friend giving you the gold in exchange for game time can result in the account being actioned as indicated here:

How to Stay in the Game (Part 2)

Exchange of World of Warcraft Currency/Goods/Services for non-World of Warcraft Currency/Goods/Services, and Vice-Versa (Buying/Selling Gold, Items, Characters, and/or Accounts)

Anyone offering World of Warcraft content for sale is attempting to steal from and deceive you, as no one is EVER allowed to sell any aspect of the World of Warcraft MMORPG except Blizzard and its licensees. Blizzard will not recognize the transaction resulting from the seller's prohibited behavior! Attempting to circumvent this rule by selling "the time put into the character" DOES NOT make such a sale legitimate, as the transaction still results in the transfer of World of Warcraft virtual property (which is acknowledged by every player as solely belonging to Blizzard Entertainment and/or its licensors) and in the seller receiving money.
