Ok I posted in technical support a bit ago, and ALSO emailed [email protected] yesterday. Stuff is seriously going to hit the damn fan, you guys are killing me.

Here's my initial post from tech support forum.

This is annoying. I've been trying since Saturday night. It is now Wednesday night.

Same error over and over again:

Purchase World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
An error has occurred.

The direct online upgrade option is currently unavailable. Please contact Billing and Account Services to upgrade your account, or try again at another time.

Also, I purchased the 10day trial, but now I'm maxed at the end of level 70 in XP. Funny you guys do it like that.

Anyways, I've emailed billing, nothing back yet. I'm trying to throw thirty nine dollars and ninety nine cents at you guys, but to no avail.

Fix this please, this is silly and frustrating.

Also, does it matter that my monthly subscription is cancelled for next month? If so, it damn well shouldn't matter.
------------

Ok now, read carefully, and read it now. I'm really ticked off.

In total I have tried to online upgrade for WOLTK about 6 or 7 times since Saturday night. Twice tonight (Wednesday).

I was so fet up with this stuff I decide to go to Best Buy tonight and try and buy the retail copy. My credit card isn't working. I'm like hm ok that's weird, I know I have about 70dollars in there (haven't gotten paid for work the last 2 weeks). Anyways, so 39.99 doesn't equal ~70, you get the point.

So I'm like alright. Credit Card not working. I'll go to my atm and go back to best buy. So I go to my Bank of America ATM, and try to pull out 60 dollars, 3 20dollar bills. Says I do not have available funds.

I had -$15.50, somewhere it that range. I was rather perplexed. I had literally checked my online banking statement right before I went to Best Buy, saying I had somewhere in the area of 80 dollars in my checking account.

So now I'm just completely lost. I drive home, up in arms, anxiously awaiting to see what my god forsaken online checking account says now, and how it ended up at negative fifteen dollars and change.

Low and behold, it is now 9:20 PM PST, and guess what guys? I have two, yes, two 39.99 charges from you guys, for WolTK. How does this work? What is this crap? Because I tried to purchase the online upgrade for WOLTK multiple times you guys decide to charge me multiple times? Sounds like a great idea to me.

On top of this, the second 39.99 woltk charge has now made me go into overdraft. Thanks there, thanks.

Fix this, fix it now, I'm a paying customer. Hey, come to think of it, I might get charged a few more times for 39.99 since I tried more than twice to do the online upgrade! What do you guys think?!

Sorry for the curse words, but this is nothing short of ridiculous. I guarantee stuff will hit the fan if that second (and other charges that may come in the near future) charge is not removed promptly from my checking account, and as it did send me into overdraft.

As the others have indicated, Herbskies, the "charge" you are seeing is what is referred to a payment pending - that is, your bank received a request for these funds from us. However, if service is not rendered (in this case, you did not receive your upgrade), this request will be denied and the funds returned to your account. Depending on your financial institution, the time that it takes for this process to complete can vary from 3-5 business days, in most cases.

If, for some reason, see these funds complete, but have not received your upgrade, you will want to contact our Billing & Account Services department for additional assistance.

It can take up to 72 hours total for an online upgrade to fully process, Herbskies. Normally, the leveling restriction is lifted first, so it may still be worth giving our Billing and Account Services a ring or another e-mail if you have concerns that the payment did not fully process.

Edit: it shouldn't matter that I'm still on the 10day trial? I started the 10day trial yesterday.

I don't believe this should have an impact on your upgrade.
