Hmm, Against the ToS?

Just remember reading a long time ago (Like, years) on these forums that excluding people from guilds for various aspects violated the ToS.

Anyway, I made my guild a few days ago just for me. It's meant to be a personal guild. However, lately, I've had a few people ask if it was a female-only guild, and asked to join due to my tabard, even if it wasn't female only. (Pink Tabard :P)

I was curious: Would it be a violation of the ToS if I only allowed Female Toons to be in the guild? Actual gender didn't matter. I'm a guy. I'm just asking if I only allowed female toons to join, would I be reportable?

The reason being - Male Valkyries don't exist. :P

As long as your recruitment message isn't offensive or derogatory, or otherwise breaks any rules, you're fine.

This sums up my thoughts on the subject nicely. A lot of our policies have to do with intent - if you are harassing others by going "Nyah nyah, you're a boy and you can't join, so you should feel bad about it," then that might not be taken so well.

There are some topics and subjects that aren't appropriate for the game world at all, however, and I think if you have any doubts, you may want to read over our Harassment Overview for a gauge of what may or may not be inappropriate.
