Q u o t e:
9 hours later and not one response from a blue on what is going on or if we can ever do bg's again. What horrible customer service.
Q u o t e:
I removed cache, wtf and interface folders and I am still having the same problem.
Q u o t e:We can certainly understand the frustration, Mercious. We normally provide updates as we receive them. Hang tight is all I can ask for at this time. :/
Ya I know, I'm just not used to having to wait an entire day to find out what is going on.
Q u o t e:O_o. No, we are simply asking players to rule out the possibility of the issue being client side.
Your response is to say we encourage other players to provide the answers.
Q u o t e:We are not expecting players to know the root of the cause. As Nevalistis mentioned, the amount of players reporting this issue is very low. This is not to say that the issue does not exist, but rather that the cause of the issue may be elsewhere.
How are players outside of Blizzard supposed to know why the BGs went down if they don't get a response from a Blizzard employee on some level?
Q u o t e:The amount of issues that are resolved by this step is much higher than you may think. The reports we are receiving are both related to BG icon disappearing and not being able to enter or leave a BG. In this case your UI plays a big role and as you may be aware, addons have been known to cause all sorts of issues.
You then make the troubleshooting of the issue the players problem. Every time there is an issue we need to delete our WTF and Cache folders for you. It is one of the reasons I don't even bother contacting you people.
Q u o t e:This is like saying you drove your car today, woke up the next day and the car won't turn on now. While nothing changed overnight, something that was there before may be the root of the issue. In this case addons or corrupt cache data.
BGs were working when I went to sleep and now they are not working when I got up. Nothing has changed between the time I went to sleep and the time now
Q u o t e:Yes, this is a simple troubleshooting that should take no longer than 2-3 minutes.
but again I must delete my WTF and Cache folders for you and then troubleshoot the issue for you.
