BGS are Broken: Can't Enter

I wait for a 10min que then click enter and nothing happens. Sweet. Has happened multiple times.

It is very difficult for me to determine whether or not this is a server side or a player side issue - especially given the small amount of players this appears to be affecting, and the limited information provided in this thread. If this was server side, I'd imagine this thread would be much larger, or we'd have received a greater number of petitions on this issue.

That being said, I must ask if you all have attempted a FULL Reset UI as part of the troubleshooting process. This process is integral in helping us determine whether the issue lies not in the client, but on the server. I would appreciate it if a few of you could try this out and let me know if it resolves the issue. I see a few people deleted their Cache and WTF folders, but to ensure that an addon or older addon data is not causing an issue, the Interface folder needs to be either temporarily removed or also deleted.

Thanks, Mercious. I was doing some digging while waiting for a response, and it looks like there is a report in on this issue. If I am able to provide an update, I will do so as soon as possible. >^.^<

Remember, it never hurts to reset your UI, especially if it hadn't been done since the latest patch :)

In this case, this does look like it's a more technical issue and our techs have indeed been made aware and are currently looking into a resolution. So, it's not you. Unfortunately, I do not have any more information at this time - other than it's being actively investigated.

Thanks for the information guys. Sorry I was unable to provide an update sooner, but it's been a crazy whirlwind of meetings this morning. =>.<=

The battleground servers were restarted this morning as part of the troubleshooting for this issue. It seems there are still outlying cases of players reporting issues, so I do appreciate if you guys can continue to keep me updated on the experiences you are having. I'm keeping an eye on the situation, and once I am able to provide more insight, I will!

We are not expecting players to know the root of the cause. As Nevalistis mentioned, the amount of players reporting this issue is very low. This is not to say that the issue does not exist, but rather that the cause of the issue may be elsewhere.

The amount of issues that are resolved by this step is much higher than you may think. The reports we are receiving are both related to BG icon disappearing and not being able to enter or leave a BG. In this case your UI plays a big role and as you may be aware, addons have been known to cause all sorts of issues.

This is like saying you drove your car today, woke up the next day and the car won't turn on now. While nothing changed overnight, something that was there before may be the root of the issue. In this case addons or corrupt cache data.

Yes, this is a simple troubleshooting that should take no longer than 2-3 minutes.

Also, for future reference you may want to try checking out all of the responses we have provided before posting. This issue is still being looked into currently and we have stated that we will provide an update once we have additional information.
