Entering Battleground After It Starts

Since the patch, when I select Random Battleground and get put into a battle that is already under way, my character's name may not appear on the roster. (I say "may" because I'm not sure that it happens every time ... although I'm about to start checking every time.)

When this occurs, I still get credit for kills and honor from kills, but I do not get the extra credit for playing a random bg. The same thing happens if I choose the Call to Arms option.

This has happened on different characters (in the same account) in different battlegrounds.

Is this a bug ... or do late entries to bgs no longer qualify for the bonus honor?
