Getting my kid started

OK ... my kid has seen me playing and he wants to go out and level a new character with me.

I will be paying for this new account and as he is a minor (15 yrs old) I am the one responsible for it, and that's ok by me. What I want to know is, can I set up a new 'account' under my same email address, or do I need to use a totally different email address / login name?

I want us both to be able to log in together; it would be neat to be able to transfer a character to 'his' account that is already levelled up (I have several) so he can play it at the same time as me, but I don't know if that violates any TOS or whatever. The last thing I want is to lose my current characters or wreck my account somehow.

So, to recap -- if possible, I want to create a second account where I can make new characters and maybe transfer one of my current characters, and I want to be able to log in to both accounts at the same time (on separate computers). Can this be done?

What you can do that would be easiest, is to create one separate Battle.net account for him under your name.

Then you will have two Battle.net accounts. Then you will be able to transfer your character to his account since both accounts are under your name. The child is currently a minor and that is completely fine.

As soon as he hits 18, you should be able to get his account changed to his own personal name with proof of proper documentation that you are related.

This will save you possibility from having to always share your password if you set both accounts under your battle.net name and risking a compromise and any other complications later on with characters for example.
