So my name was reported

Someone just reported my name, telling me it was a 'title'.

I've been using this name since vanilla, and have had Game Masters clear this name on several servers for me. Now, this individual claims 'Czar' means 'King' in Russian, while this may be true, and I am of Serbian/Russian background, there is no exact translation of the word into English but "King" - in Russian it is spelled "царь" and in Serbian "цар".

In English it could be Tsar, Car, Tzar, Czar, Csar, Cssar - but it is not an English word.

Could someone verify this? I'd be deeply saddened if my name was changed because of this.

Anyone may pretty much report anything for any reason, Czar, their request will be reviewed but it doesn't mean that simply because we receive a report about a name that we'll find it in violation.

It is not necessary to submit your own petition justifying your name simply because it may have been reported. If action was taken and your name was changed you could then dispute it and it would be reviewed further. We don't have preemptive disputing. :)

It is also unnecessary to get into a language debate about where the word originated or what your background is and how the word translates.

It should be noted that our policies apply to all languages, if a name translates to an inappropriate word from another language it would still be deemed inappropriate.

In addition, I should probably also point out that the name you have is Czar, not Czarjacob or Captgeorge or Kingmichael. It's just Czar. Your name could be Prince or Bishop and it would be treated the same, as a stand alone name and not necessarily indicating a title since a title is added to a name and not the name itself.

I hope that helps. :)
