Very unsatisfied by GM service

I bought an item then asked for a refund. The GM that responded took 4 days...4 days to come back and tell me that refunds are only valid for 2 hours after the item is bought. During that time the ticket was escalated and I kept crashing over and over due to either assertions issues or cogwheel/table/flag of doom.

I had to reinstall the game 3 times. Still... with an unstable environment it takes 4 days for someone to come back to me and tell me that the item can not be refunded? If the game had been stable and playable without glitches I would understand but this is ridiculous.

So you buy an item...then crash and can t lot in. A Gm needs to port you out because of corruptions in the files. You reinstall then ask for a refund and are being told tough **** really? That s great customer service.

I remember 2005 when the service received actually meant customer service and GMs actually talked to you instead of sending canned responses via the petition system.

FOUR DAYS !... if the game had not been crashing and required a re install I wouldn t have had to ask for a refund.

As others have mentioned, the 2 hour refund timer was put in a very long time ago and suspends itself if you are not ingame. Even though you state in your petition you thought you had 24 hours to return this, if the timer ran out, 2 hours must have been ingame.

That's why you got the response that you did, it's simply our policy. For well over a year we did try to educate players on this feature but even that grace period ended months ago.

Petitions times are far longer than we'd prefer them at the moment, but our Game Masters are working very hard to get to everyone's issue.

As to the cogwheel issue we've had good reports that these commands will work as a temporary aid until the issue of instability associated with 'cogs' is permanently addressed. This may also help with some freezing issues when zoning into a BG or instance, although resetting your UI (complete method) is still recommended if you find your game freezing even with tooltips turned off via the macro below.

You will need to create two macros, one to "turn off tooltips" and one to "turn on tooltips".

Turn Off Tooltips

/script GameTooltip.Temphide = function() GameTooltip:Hide() end; GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Temphide);

Turn On Tooltips

/script GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Show);
