Prepaid time changes?

My boyfriend and I have been playing for about 4 years straight. During this time we have used nothing but 60 day prepaid game cards. Every two months we each have received an email letting us know our time is about to expire and if we neglect to top off our account we receive in-game notification our time is running out starting at 1 hour and counting down from there.

Moments ago, with no notice at 60, 45, 30 minutes etc as before, and without any email notification, my boyfriend was kicked from the game with the message that his prepaid time had expired. Not only was this premature by several hours but with absolutely zero warning.

Can you please look into why this happened before his time was up and possibly explain why the billing department appears to have completely removed any forewarning of account expiration? You would think billing and account service might want people buying more time.

Glitterspec, could you provide me the name and realm of a character on your boyfriend's account? I'll see if I can do some digging for you. >^.^<

I have already done so and removed the name. As a forum moderator you have the ability to see changes made to posts; please refer to mine for that information.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thanks for letting me know. Give me a few moments to take a peek.

It does look like time ran out, as normal, as the Pre-paid card applied to your boyfriend's account was added on 8/20/2010. However, I'm unable to verify that these e-mails are not going out - have you thoroughly checked your spam filter to ensure that the e-mail didn't inadvertently get routed there?

I do have access to the time the date was claimed, and the time that it expired. They appear to match up at 11:18PM (please note this is GMT, so 4:18PM PST) on the respective days.

Sadly, I can't confirm exactly what your boyfriend experienced. It's possible that if he was sent an in-game message that an addon may have interfered with it (especially if he has not updated various addons since the recent patch). As for the e-mail, I'm not sure as to where it might have gone, but I have no information implying that we have ceased this type of notification for pre-paid players.

Sorry that I am unable to provide more information.
