CMs and Devs, How do you Do It?

I just don't know how you can come into these forums and not leave a shattered husk of a person. Some days it's like reading 4chan on a friday night.

You do realize that people are 10 times more likely to complain than compliment a business and its decisions, right? It just boggles my mind that people come onto these forums the moment there's any change in the game (or sometimes lack of a change) and complain to the order of "dur hur, I've spent HALF A YEAR OF MY WAKING LIFE playing this game, but cuz you changed XYZ or removed XYZ I'm'a quit!"

Anyway, it must be difficult. I mean, nobody has anything to compare to this. No game with anywhere near this many players has any meaningful interaction between development or certainly customer service and the players, so there's nothing to really compare it to. You think you can go talk to Zynga before the next version of Farmville comes out? 'cuz there's not much else with over 10 million players, or a subscription fee, that isn't flash based. Oh wait, there's nothing else. Must be doing something right.

I need to remember not to use the blue tracker websites. It's depressing.

Well, it helps when you love both your job and your players :)

Truly, we are all here to help. It is just as frustrating to us at times to not have an answer.....as to not BE answered.

It also helps that we are players ourselves, believe me - there isn't a single frustration any player has ever voiced on these forums that someone here hasn't experienced first hand themselves at least one time or another.

The kind words are appreciated, Helzar. /panda hugs.
