I have had a ticket open regarding my epic gem xmute cooldown in lieu of 4.0.1, for about 4 days now. It seems that the transmute is on a random CD, and I was surprised to log into the general forums tonight and find a topic about it.
Someone stated that the CD resets at midnight server time, and after some thought, this seems to make sense regarding what I am experiencing. However, when I went to verify this via blue post, I cannot find anything.
I am also wondering, is this intentional? If so, this means that the CD actually went up by 4 hours. I read a post on MMO champion that said the CD had been removed on the Beta realms, and that the change was expected to happen with 4.0.1, but once again I can't find any blue posts regarding this.
Is what has been happening a bug? Is the CD being removed? I would patiently wait for an answer via in game ticket, but mine says 'this ticket has been escalated' for a few days, and I fear that I won't get a response any time soon.
I would like an answer, simply because I spent some time prior to 4.0.1 farming up mats to produce epic gems for 4.0.1 release, hoping to make a little more profit than usual with epic gem sales. However, this has been ultimately deterred thus far, and I am getting less from epic gem xmutes than I was prior to 4.0.1, and with cata approaching, I am losing opportunity to make gold via this profession.
