Old WoW account missing from battlenet- HELP

Hi all,

So, I stopped playing WoW about 9 months ago. Before I quit, my WoW account was already merged with battlenet.

I never really bothered to check it until I started playing Starcraft 2 on the same account, when I noticed I have no WoW account associated with my battlenet account..

I emailed support (using my email address registered with battlenet) and they replied saiyng they 'cant discuss this account with me because it is not the registered email address to this wow account'.
--I have certainly never changed the registered email address.. !!

I am assuming that someone has hacked my account and changed the address, and transferred/renamed my characters..
I find it strange that my password wasnt changed, but I remember around 2 months ago my password stopped working in Starcraft 2, and I had to go in and change it.. Maybe this is when I got hacked ???
I didnt even think to check what they had done to my poor ol' wow account.

(Either that I messed something up when installing Starcraft 2..)

What do you guys think? and if I'm right then how can I get my account back?.. I'd like to start playing again in Cataclysm.
I know I need to contact Billing (i have emailed them), but I'd also like some down-to-earth player advice, rather than the generic emails that the support guys throw back at you without even reading your email...

You are correct, Azuryan. A second battle.net account would of not been possible with the same e-mail. Based on the information you provided it sounds like the e-mail address on your first battle.net account was changed. In order to recover your account, you would need to contact our billing and account services by phone. With proper account verification, you are able to recover the account.

I can say for sure what they will ask. We usually would like to verify as much information as possible. Have your World of Warcraft Authentication key(s) as they will be very useful.
