Weird Billing Issues

I have my account set up through PayPal. This month I get charged ten days earlier than usual, but think nothing of it. Then tonight (on my usual billing day), I'm unable to log in due to my account being "expired." I check PayPal, and my bank account, and the transaction was completed on the day mentioned. I spend on hour on hold with Blizzard Billing, never do get anyone on the phone and then they're closed. I did send an email, but was unable to post here because, hey, you can't post if your account's not active!

So I finally gave up and paid AGAIN with a credit card to reactivate my account, which I notice has NO payment plan on it at all anymore (weird), canceled my PayPal subscription, and opened a dispute to get my other $14.99 back. In the meantime, I had checked the Armory, checked my email, changed all my passwords, scanned computer, etc, etc. Nothing is wrong, account not compromised. It appears to be a problem with Blizzard billing. There's no record of anyone (including me) canceling the account. It's as if the billing info just disappeared.

Has anyone else had this happen?

My account has been set up this way for over a year with no problems, always billed on the same day of the month. The early billing is what clues me in that there's a billing issue. Now I hope they don't freeze the account while my dispute is pending with PayPal. :( But I want my original payment back since they don't even have a record of it!

Any ideas or should I just wait and see what happens? Maybe try and call Blizz back? It's just really weird.

I reviewed the account you are posting from, Daeanerys, and our records indicate that this account was supposed to be billed on 10/18/10 through PayPal.

When we went to process the payment via PayPal, we were unable to do so successfully. An email was sent to the registered email address advising of this issue. If you did not receive it, be sure to check your Spam folder.

You mentioned in your post though that you were billed 10 days beforehand. We would not charge your payment method until your billing date, not before. Do you by chance have another account that you pay for, such as that of a friend or family member? Perhaps you paid for this account last month not realizing it would recur again this month?

Q u o t e:
Is it normal for the billing info to disappear when the account is frozen?

Yes it is, Daeanerys. When an attempted payment fails for whatever reason our system will automatically remove the current payment method from the account. This is so our system does not attempt to bill you multiple times, resulting in a possible overdraft situation.

Q u o t e:
Is there anything else I can do to find out why this occurred this month?

I would suggest checking your PayPal account to make sure there were in fact funds in the account. If you had a backup payment method attached, please verify this information is up to date and current as well.
