Loot Filled Pumpkin - "There is no Loot"

I just killed the Headless horseman on my 79 Shaman and after opening my Loot Filled Pumpkin I got a message saying "There is no loot" and received nothing.

Is this some sort of joke?

This is a temporary legacy from the transition from badges to points.

If your bag has no additional items in it, you will likely receive this message, but your points should apply when the bag is opened.
