Recruit a friend trial wait time

So I was recruited by a friend of mine so we could do some speedy alt leveling, I upgraded to vanilla from trial and I get an email saying the level restriction (20 on trial) has been removed and that i'm basically not a trial anymore and that there is a bit of processing to do.

Obviously there is an absolutely terrible system in place that allows me to talk in trade or general chat and whisper people but I can't take trades from friends for what is it, 24 hours?

I just don't know how the system isn't automated by now to just lift the entire status of trial when vanilla + is added. If anything I have no idea why I can talk in trade and whisper people when gold sellers on trial could just spam doing that.

While some of the restrictions, including the leveling restriction and some select chat features, will be lifted immediately upon upgrade, not all are. Those that are not immediately lifted can take up to 72 hours to become fully available.
