Why exactly were my enchants not refunded?

So you guys had a bug with the patch that suddenly made some of my characters enchants disappear. I opened a ticket asking for help, to no avail. Basically I was told there was nothing you can do about it. So now I'm forced to spend gold again for enchants that I've already purchased before the patch?

Is there nothing you guys can do to help me out? It's not a huge deal spending gold to re-enchant stuff, but I'm wondering if you guys will fix the problem with a hotfix or something, where my enchants will show up again (so I don't have to spend gold if I don't have to).

It's just kind of disappointing logging on a character, or equipping an item that was enchanted before 4.0 to find no enchant, if you can understand my frustration.
