Every time I use an ability with my hunter (ANY ability, be it pet a command, or a spell like arcane shot) my pet action bar disappears... or more correctly, it falls quickly out of sight. Once the pet action bar is gone, I can't control my pet whatsoever. For example, I have a simple "/petattack" macro, and although this macro worked great before 4.0 and still works with my mage's water elemental, nothing at all happens with my hunter's pet if the pet bar is missing.
I searched online for a solution and the best I found was a macro that brings the pet bar back temporarily:
"/script PetActionBarFrame:Show()"
However, because the pet bar instantly disappears the second I do ANYTHING, this fix is pretty useless.
I tried running the repair utility and deleting my WTF and cache folders, but to no avail. I also have no addons installed.
EDIT: Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that I tried playing my hunter on my friend's macbook (she JUST installed a fresh copy of WoW last night) and sure enough, the pet action bar instantly disappears. It's like maybe the hunter's server-side settings are all funky? Can those be reset... maybe like a server-side version of deleting her WTF folder?
I've run out of tricks! Please help.... Me love you long time.... ;_;
