Cant delete character

im trying to delete my lvl 80 pally bc i havent played him since when ToC was released and wanna start one fresh but dont want a wasted character slot. but when i hit delete it says that character cant be deleated bc he is an arena team captian. and im not sure how that is with the arena season having ended and all. any help?

He is indeed part of a 3 v 3 team.

Just leave that team and if you are truly certain you want to delete a level 80, you should be able to do so.
