I used my credit card to transfer a character to a diff realm and to pay my subscription without a single issue but cannot get my card to work for a race change. I have tried countless times and keep getting a credit card error message. I have plenty of funds and no where near my daily limit for withdrawls so can anyone explain why it is continually denying? Any advice will help..

Our Billing department would be the ones to best assist with this, Fah.

What you do NOT want to do is keep trying this. Every attempt is probably generating a hold charge on your available credit line. While no money actually moves, those types of holds are placed by most credit card companies in preparation to receive a matching charge (which of course won't come through unless this worked). Those normally drop off by themselves, but the time it takes to do so varies greatly as it's the companies rules that apply the hold.

Maybe you can help me kind sir. Okay...... Well I took a nice long break from WOW and come back to find my account compromised and an unauthorized authenticator was put on it. 3 of my level 80's were transferred to other realms and my 100,000 gold was as well. I contacted Blizzard and they asked for me to prove I was the original owner "Name, Email, Address, SQ" and I did so easily. I spoke to a gentleman and he said ALL of my characters were still intact and nothing was gone and that a restore of characters on my old realm would take no more than 24 hours at most. Well 24 hours passed and I emailed a GM and they said "Sorry we cannot reverse the character transfers" So basically I have to pay $25 four times = $100 for transfers "1 alt" and $90 three times for character faction changes. ONTOP of my monthly subscription and MY authenticator I have to fork out $212 of my money to get my account back since you guys basically didn't do anything to help me get it back except rest my password... Not a happy customer.

You could appeal this, but it does look like it's been pretty thoroughly reviewed already, Fah.

The issue here is that this doesn't look like it was done by a malicious party, i.e., we have no way to prove that it wasn't indeed yourself - or someone close to you, that originally made the transfers. Unfortunately, we aren't able to reverse such transactions - especially after some time has gone by.

I think its a way for you guys to make more money tbh. And I called and my account was GONE. I had to have password resets and an unauthorized authenticator removed.... and you assume that the original owner did it? Right...........

Fah - we did not compromise your account. I didn't say we assumed you did it - I said we couldn't prove you did not. Distinct difference there.

This doesn't look at all like a 'usual' compromise by a malicious party. Did anyone else ever know your information? No one but you should ever have access to your account.

5 years of playing this game and the first time I get hacked I get straight up screwed over and led on a wild goose chase of who to talk to. Nothing was done and no one informed me of any updates or nothing. And I was told directly from William H. of Blizzard that I would have all my characters back on my original realm is 24 hours max. I got a confirmation from a Blizz employee and magically he seems to have lied.

All a Billing representative can do is escalate a compromise report for investigation. In most cases this is easy enough to determine, but age also comes into play here - there were some months between the act and the report.

This was escalated, investigated, and that was the final determination - that these could not be reversed.

Not a single person has my information other then myself. I left the game 3 1/2 moths ago for job reasons and to tend to an ailing family member out of state. I came back and a few weeks later decided to play again and logged on to find a mess on my account. I have played numerous times at lan centers but never had any issues at all. I just want my characters back to normal. I shouldn't have to pay in excess of $200 to play my own account... Its just pointless. I feel like something is being completely overlooked and I am the one left screwed over.

Then you are more than welcome to appeal this yet again for review to [email protected].

Just a heads up - Lan centers are notorious for having malware on their systems.
