Question about new client downloader...

Thanks to the new client downloader, I'm able to re-install WoW again on my laptop after my computer crashed and burned. On my main account, I mean (I'm using a temporary account until I refill my sub on pay day). I'm just a tad confused, however--it says that the total download is 10.3 gigabytes, which seems small to me.

Does launching the installer just install WoW Classic at first? Will I have to re-launch it to install Burning Crusade and WotLK? Or will it download the whole thing, right down to the latest patch? I purchased and installed both x-pacs owithmy main account before.

I ask, because on the launcher, there's a button that says 'Upgrade to Burning Crusade'. I only have 3.1 gigabytes left on the download. And I'm even further confused because when I launch into the game, it shows the WotLK background.

Patches tend to download in order. It's most likely sensing you don't have that installed yet. Just keep on with the patches and it should catchup. If it's a fresh installation, sounds like it can't sense the client is yet to that stage.

Does that make sense?

Ahhh, okay. I was just worried that I would have to pay for the two x-pacs all over again. :) Thanks! I'll know for sure in a few hours when the install is done.

No, once an account is upgraded, it's permanent - no matter how many machines it's installed on, or how often. That's determined on the account side, not the client side.
