How do I turn them off, pre 4.0.1 you could turn it off via the Video Settings, but now there is no setting to turn it off, is there away or /script or something?

it also works for the full screen glow - change ffxdeath to ffxglow

0 turns an effect off, 1 turns it on

Keep in mind, though, Tuzker, that the /console ffx 0 command will disable all ffx options. Using either of the options that Upirlupirina provided above should give you the same result though. :0)
