Honor points gained from heroic bosses

From my understanding Honor Points are given when you down a player in PvP and Justice Points are for when you down a boss in an instance. Well today when running a random instance every boss we killed gave us 6 honor points as well as the standard justice points. This is the first time I've had that happen and I've been running randoms the past couple of days pretty much non-stop. Is this intended to happen or the server bugging out since coming back up? Last thing I want is to be hit with a temp ban over something I have no control over.

Just to clarify, you wouldn't be hit with a suspension for simply receiving points while running an instance normally. The exploitation that I believe you are referring to was obviously an exploitation and couldn't "accidentally" be achieved.
